Whenever I see Wayne Fontana my mind goes immediately to “Live at Leeds”
“This one is a rock and roll song, done by a guy called Benny Spellman, I’m sure you’ve never heard of him, but I’m sure you’ve heard of The Rolling Stones, cos they done it—
[Keith Moon]
The Merseybeats!
[Roger Daltry]
Ooh, yeah, The Merseybeats, they done it!
[Crowd jeering]
[Roger Daltry]
(laughing) And Wayne Fontana, he did it! And now we do it, it’s one called “Fortune Teller.”
Wayne spun a few cogs and was last heard of being convicted for setting fire to a bailiffs car. Otherwise, nutty as a fruitcake !!

Thank you so much Kat. I do rather “like” Pete and Rog and Keith and John.
This song kicked around so much. The stones are playing Comerica in July and its $810 for two tickets on the field and a parking pass. I bought a couple extra for you and im6

My Dear Hedley,
I like to hear the same song by different groups. It is usually easy to guess when the song was recorded. Sounds change so much over time.
I’m packing early!
