The debate continued with vigour, as neither opponent was able to pin the other.
Cheers

minicapt,
Were faces given credit, the pinned opponent would win.

Gnu,
For some reason even unknown to me I am not a big fan of Elvis; however, this is a neat scene with a cast of hundreds!
I like seeing the female stars so young.

Gnu,
I forget how handsome he was and how he knew exactly how to charm an audience. I wonder if he would be allowed to ride a cycle now-insurance is huge on keeping stars safe.

Gnu,
Though I’m not big on Elvis I would really love to see Graceland. I saw a great documentary about it and the rest of the collection housed in environmentally safe warehouses. The film mentioned the rotation of the collection and the grounds. It was amazingly interesting.

Gnu,
I have heard many covers of this song, but I still love the Buddy original. His voice can’t be replicated.

Gnu,
Great song! Buddy Holly left such a great catalog of music. I wonder where his music would have gone, how it would have changed as music did.

Gnu,
This is such a great classic and an all time favorite of mine.

As long as we’re paying tribute to Lubbock, Texas’ favorite son, I thought I’d share my very favorite song by Buddy. It wasn’t released until after his death and features luscious strings and the incredible saxophone of Boomie Richman. It makes me happy, sad, giddy and melancholy all at once. Buddy was all of 22 years old and yet he sells it like he’s lived six different lives. Simply beautiful.

im6,
Every word of this song is etched in my memory drawers. You are so right: I didn’t realize he was only 22.
Lovely is all that jumps into my head.
