Good grief Kat, what are you doing ? This one made me dig deep…I hadn’t thought about Rock Follies in a bazillion years, but Julie Covington was one of a three piece girl band that even had a hit album…sort of like The Monkees but on ITV.
I also think Rock Follies was tied in some way to Roxy Music which gave it some Cred. No I didn’t buy the album, I am sure I watched the show. It was a 1970s thing
Great memory dig Kat, loved it.

My Dear Hedley,
I listened to a lot of versions of this song before I chose the Covington. There was something about it I found pleasing to my ear.
Because I hadn’t ever heard of Rock Follies I did a bit of hunting. It seems the series won several awards, had all original music and its soundtrack hit number 1.
Serendipity!
