Oh Boy, Pete, Rog, Keith and John.
Mrs MDH and I were in Toronto twenty years ago for our wedding anniversary and staying at the Ritz Carlton. We were in an elevator, I saw a blonde walking toward the cab, kicked open the door and in walked Roger Daltrey Trapped for 13 floors, Rog got an earful about what it was like to be standing in the mud, avoiding flying beer bottles and pushing closer and closer to the front of the stage. He was totally cool, and no, im6, I did not ask for an autograph
Last time I saw them, I went down to Columbus for the Quadrophenia tour. They were out of the west side of London. They were mods. Pete threw in the windmill, smashed his guitar and was angry. I loved The Who
Great pick Kat – You chose the Who and somewhere else I posted a picture of Twig the Wonder Kid. Must be in the air

My Dear Hedley,
I figure I can’t go wrong with The Who. The poor guy was trapped for that long with you? I am glad he was cool despite being held hostage.
I haven’t ever seen them but I would have if I had been given the chance.
Thanks, MDH!

Gnu,
I want this to be true for an entire day, not just a couple of hours. I wish though there was less background sound so I could hear Richie more.

Gnu,
This is one of her great ones to me. I think it was the first Melanie I ever heard.
The video has wonderful shots. I missed Woodstock as I was in Africa.

Gnu,
There is so much to love with Richie Havens.

I didn’t think you liked Van Morrison, Kat. Didn’t you say that just yesterday or the day before?

im6,
When did I mention him here? I thought I was talking about The Who.
You’re right-I don’t care for most of his music.

Kat: “I have’t really been much of a Van fan either.” Posted Thursday, 2/19, in response to MDH talking about the new Van Morrison “Duets” album. Wish you’d give Van another try — especially the early stuff circa “Moondance.” Yes, Van is supposed to be very moody… oh, I’ll just say it. He’s supposed to be a real bastard. The snippets I’ve heard from the duets album isn’t going to help his reputation either. The word unnecessary comes to mind.

im6,
I can’t even come up with the name of any one of his songs. So you suggest I listen to Moondance? Is that my baby step?

Don’t do anything, Kat. I’ll take care of you.

You always do, my dear friend!!

I am a gigantic Van fan, so if you decide to take baby steps in to the catalog I have plenty of suggestions. Do try “Poetic Champions” , “No method….” And “it’s too late to stop now”…..
Single track. “st Dominic’s preview”

Thanks you for the suggestions, MDH.

Gnu,
I would never have been able to pick out Van Morrison’s voice from a line-up. I do know this song, but I didn’t know he sang it.

Gnu,
I figure this is an older Morrison as he still reminds me of Waits. I like this one too.
