When Tuesday Is Wednesday
Usually I take Wednesday off from Coffee but not this week. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and I really want to post. Today I have five errands as well as a to-do list so come on back tomorrow!
I am posting music as I don’t want to miss a day. Besides, I figure I owe you something for dropping by to visit.
Enjoy!

Hi Kat,
Today is Festivus, the holiday for the rest of us. Because we are not orthodox but reformed, we didn’t erect the Festivus pole. However, we did enjoy the Festivus meal last night including airing our grievances. I’m getting too old for participating in the acts of strength.
Have a wonderful Festivus. Now on to Christmas 🙂

Great idea, I think I can find an appropriate Festivus pole in my cellar and will unorthodoxly declare today’s dinner as Festivus meal 🙂
Happy Festivus!
Keep the holidays coming…

Birgit,
My friends and I celebrate strange holidays like Cowboy Day. It is an any excuse for a party time!

Bob,
I loved that clip about Festivus. I had forgotten all about it. We used to laugh and think we ought to add that to our holidays, but the airing of grievances sounded iffy.
Happy Festivus!

I had totally forgotten Festivus 🙂 🙂 🙂 I think I might have an aluminun pole in my garage, I’ll use that next year 🙂

Whatever day you want to call it, it put me in the mood to hear this:

I used to get mercilessly teased for my appreciation of the moody blues..never stopped me. a great song for today

greg,
Add me to the Moody Blues fan list!

Thanks, im6! This is, as Greg said, perfect for today. I have always liked this song.

Was “I’m just a singer in a rock and roll band” the most inappropriately titled song of all time ? Not that I don’t like the song cos I due but the Bloody Moos were not exactly a rock and roll band

MDH,
I agree it is a misnomer but they do sound far more rockfish on that song.

Hi Kat,
I missed Festivus but I did celebrate Bunnystaplus last week. It would take too long to explain Bunnystaplus but it does involve bunnies and staples and cards with lots of glitter and velociraptors with googly eyes stuck on them.
I doubt that it got anywhere near 50ºF here today. It’s just dark, damp and drizzly. All my lights are on in an attempt to make it seem like there is a sun somewhere. It’s a failed strategy. 😦
Enjoy your day off.

Hi Caryn,
The velociraptor doesn’t munch on the bunnies?
It was flannel shirt weather today. I didn’t even need a sweatshirt. I trie the lights instead of sun the other day. It didn’t work for me either.
Have a great evening!

No. Bunnystaplus involves stapling bunny ears on things. If everything is a bunny, nothing gets to be a raptor. I guess. Besides, the irritation of the staples probably takes the velociraptor’s mind off raptoring.
Bunnystaplus is an odd sort of holiday. 🙂

I am reminded of Scrooged when he tells the prop guy to staple the antlers on the mice, the real mice.

Kat, you’ve created a monster. The Coffee gang can’t let you take the day before Christmas Eve off. 🙂 It’s not only Festivus but it’s the last night of Chanukah. Can’t wait to read tomorrow’s post.

Bob,
It is the last night of Chanukah, Festivus and Christmas Eve Eve as my sister calls it.
I hope it will bedworth the wait!
