In Ghana tribal dancing and singing was so varied by tribe. In the far north where I lived, the dances were alive, filled with motion and sounds while the music was provided by drums and xylophones. The Ashanti did almost stately dances and the women waved white handkerchiefs as they danced.

In Israel, the tour group seemed to be in parallel with tour groups from Lagos and Nigeria. They sang often and with gusto
