Those are narrow strips of aluminum foil developed during WW2 to interfere with enemy radar. These days, the foil strips prevent the police from tracking your tree when it passes through a speed trap.
It is officially known as “Window”.
Cheers

minicapt,
I wish that was real! I’m always afraid of the state police tracking my haste.

MDH,
You do, you do!

You know you did some clumping

Gnu,
I haven’t been an Amy Grant though this is pretty.

Gnu,
I didn’t know much about Amy Grant so I did some hunting. From Wikipedia I found out she has been referred to as “The Queen of Christian Pop”. As of 2009, Grant remains the best-selling contemporary Christian music singer ever, having sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Wow!
This song sounds familiar.

Gnu,
I remember this song was the theme for a TV show where God talked directly to the main character in the guise of a different person each time. It wasn’t this complete version though.

Gnu,
I am an on again off again fan of Sarah McLachlan. I don’t remember this song. It highlights how lovely her voice can be.

My Dear Hedley,
I knew by the label this is a GT. Britain song, but I wanted to know more. After reading the info, I knew why you posted it as it was part of your childhood. Now I want to hear Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields singing it.

Oh my! I saw a teaser on the news last night about “guess who’s going to release an album of Sinatra tunes,” but I missed the story and didn’t find out who it was — until Hedley so kindly informed us (above). I’m sorry to report that Hedley wasn’t kidding. Sadly, it’s true — unless it’s a “Masked Marauders”-type hoax. We can only hope it is. Need proof it’s real? Prepare yourselves…

Other than as a completest, I cannot think of one reason for wanting Bob sings Frank
It might have been amusing if he had crooned “These boots are made for walking” with Bette, but this issue looks disasterous

My Dear Hedley,
Nor can I think of a reason except he is now deaf and has no idea how he sounds.

im6,
I fear that Dylan has been bewitched. All sense of taste and hearing were removed. The other thought is he is inhabited by a being from another world looking to Earth for a possible take-over. That alien probably figures that music like this will kill us off leaving the planet empty except for Bob.

This does set up the pleasure of whether or not “Shadows in the Night” is the worst Dylan album of all time – Christmas Bob ? Bob and the Dead ? Down in the Groove ? Self Portrait ?
Where will crooner Bob rank ?

MDH,
The Dylan legacy had died a most painful death due to the latest of his albums. Even giving one away didn’t help.

MDH,
It is nearing Christmas. Where is your goodwill toward men and women?
I like the video. I think the party looks fun.
