Bill Watterson quote

Cutting a nice figure.
Looks like one of my uncles (not the crazy, the one that killed the polar bear that had chased him up a radar tower during his stint in Alaska with the AF, well he was slightly crazy too).

Carl,
He is cutting a nice figure. I was taken with his suit and hat.
I laughed about your uncle, the bear and the radar tower.
How was the squash?

The squash has earned its place at all future Thanksgiving dinners. Wonder recipe.
Thanks so very much, Kat.

Glad to hear that, Carl, as it is a tradition for us all to serve it.

Thanks, Christer
I have no idea how I did that. It took me a few minutes to find where I turned it back on.

Thank goodness that kind of formality has gone out of style. Today wearing a big fedora immediately brings up images of a pimp.
Ties are another useless appendage that the fashion industry continues to promote. The government of Israel meet daily to conduct the country’s business in open collared shirts. The only time they put on a tie and suite is when they come to the US or Europe. Maybe our legislators would be more effective without ties and suites. According to my spouse a tie cuts off the blood supply to the brain. The Israelis are doing pretty good in business casual attire.

Bob,
My father wore fedoras for so many years but accepted the change in stye and stopped wearing one; however, he always wore a tie to work.
When I first started teaching, the male teachers always wore ties. By the time I left, they were wearing all sorts of shirts and generally none with a tie. The only ones who still wore one were the 3 male administrators I worked with. Many women teachers wire pants, but as an administrator I never did.
