Blur, the Gorillaz, the solo album, Damon Albarn gave us Everyday Robots this year, and this is my favorite track from the album.
What a combination from Kat today – Albarn and Beck

My Dear Hedley,
I was in a peculiar mood today so I changed up the music. I played a few tracks before I chose this one.

So how will you handle tomorrow ? Dylan nukes us with the Basement Tapes, and im6 is off to Target to get the Super Deluxe version of The Divine’s new Covers album. New music of old music to enjoy

MDH,
I may take a nap.
If I had a Target, I would follow im6. I guess I’ll have to order it on line. Dylan will have to wait a long while.

A Joni Mitchell 4 disc box set will also be released in November. She reportedly rearranged her songs as a four-act ballet. I think she was bored.

I saw that ! Looks like the same old stuff in a newly designed sleeve. Bored or looking for a little boost to the retirement income

Hedley, just in case you miss London, perhaps you want to listen to Marianne Faithfull’s new album “Give My Love To London” at NPR First Listen?

Unfortunately I can’t listen, audio is blocked in my crazy country 😦
Speaking of London, how was the Sedaka concert? Best show ever?

Birgit
Sedaka played for about 2 hours and 20 minutes backed by the London Symphony Orchestra. To his credit there was no auto tune on his voice and no back up singers.
Given that we had flown in on the overnight plane from Detroit AND the concert ran until 11.00 pm AND I did not fall asleep, he did a pretty good job.
I think of it more as entertainment than as a concert. He did all sorts of songs from “The Tra La Days are over” to “I go Ape” and, of course “Love will keep us together”
I had fun 🙂

Birgit,
I have all Joni’s albums so I doubt I’d add to them with her 4 disc box.

Hedley, I just found a short Sedaka-London video (Solitaire) and I’m really astonished how good his voice still is. He even hits the high notes perfectly which isn’t a given for a 75-year-old.
