minicapt,
I found that intriguing. I had heard of St. Vitus dance but didn’t know what it was until I read this article. The variety of the dances, the strange clothing, the nakedness and the number of countries involved made it appear to me as psychological or rebellious, a way to break the law without seeming to do so voluntarily. I did chuckle that dancers couldn’t abide pointed shoes. Of course they couldn’t-their feet and toes would have been filled with blisters and been quite sore.
Who knew the tarantella could cure the victim?
I think that my skepticism is full blown in regard to dancing mania.
