The Roches 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
with one of my favorite songs of their later work. I loved to sing along while driving. Unfortunately I never saw them live and I regret that I missed the last chance to see them in the Netherlands some years ago.

Birgit,
I love this song. I learned it when I was a kid. My mother had a version she played on her hifi. This is a great Roches’ song!
I knew they were a favorite of yours!

Another coincidence or Godwink… Just how often does one hear “The Naughty Lady…” these days? Last week I played this version by The Roches. Not a song I’d expect to up on my radar twice in one week. Yet here it is. Went to YouTube to listen to (and possibly share) the original Ames Brothers version. The Ames’ version will just have to wait. Instead, I offer this corny, campy version from the January 8, 1955 episode of Your Hit Parade. Seems like only yesterday….

im6,
That’s it-The Ames Brothers! That was the version my mother had.
I don’t get why they are operators for this song.
I love their dresses and their 8 inch waists. This was fun to watch.
