Birgit,
When I was a teacher, smoking in bathrooms was epidemic. Over time smoke detectors and alarms made responding and nabbing the rule so kids quite using bathrooms. Now far fewer kids smoke so this isn’t much of an issue.
It is a fun song and came out in the heyday of smoking’ in the boy’s and girl’s rooms.

Regarding the strict smoking bans in the States I’m glad that smoking songs are still allowed on American blogs. This one is fun.
