The chicken was enjoying a nice quiet afternoon when suddenly it heard the “putt putt” of a Vespa…..oooohhhh it thought, I am going to go to live in America with this nice Lady.

MDH,
I suspect a chicken knows from the start it is doomed to be either breakfast in its earliest form or dinner when full grown.

Or the chicken was relaxed until being callously slung in the general direction of the croc

MDH,
The chickens were in a pen. They were young. The choosing was haphazard. It was a cedi (about 50¢) to buy the chicken. I was there as was a Ghanaian couple and we each paid a cedi. The man tossed one chicken and started to leave. I reminded him he had received 2 cedis and the croc was due another chicken. The man was not happy with me but he had no choice. He tossed another chicken to the croc.
The croc man and I had gotten off to a bad start. He had charged me more for the croc calling than he had charged the Ghanaians. I asked him why. He said it was because I was foreigner. I knew it was because I was white. I asked him how he could tell that every black person was Ghanaian. What if people were from Burkina Faso? He said he’d know. Big lie!

Do you think it was your Carl Yastrzemski T shirt that gave you away ?

MDH,
I hadn’t thought of that. I think you’re right!
