Gnu,
What fun it is watching and listening to this video. It is totally a trip back to the 60’s with their clothes and their getting high at Itchycoo Park. At first I didn’t remember them and then they sang, “It’s all too beautiful,” and I remembered.
Thanks

Gnu,
Neither of these will play here as playback has been disabled by the video owner. I did go to You Tube and listen. I swear no matter how many times I hear this song I still don’t get it. Why was the cake left out in the rain? Why a cake even? I know this was a hit but I just don’t get the lyrics.
I do like Richard Harris!

Gnu,
This song I remember by heart. It was such a huge song. He also made one about Fenway Park which sounded just like this one. What fun!!

Gnu,
I like this one a lot. Melanie was a favorite of mine. It makes me chuckle: the roller skate-key metaphor, very clever.
I have’t ever seen this video before-it is great watching her after all these years.
Thanks!

Gnu,
I totally don’t remember this song. I was surprised it was in black and white. The street pictures were fun to watch. Amazing it was skateboards.

Gnu,
A total classic here! The B&W didn’t surprise me given how long ago they started. God, they are so young looking. I wish they had more close ups as they sang.
Ah, the days of teenage girl screamers!

Gnu,
I wish they had a video to go with this. I have really enjoyed all the old videos, especially the B&W ones. I remember this song and I think I probably remember most of Jan and Dean’s. They did have that same California look as the Beach Boys.
Thanks!
