I guess we still don’t know if Ray and Dave have bridged their differences enough to tour in celebration of 50 years of The Kinks. Maybe for fun they should invite along their class mate and an original band member, Rod Stewart.
Only saw them once, at the Finsbury Park Rainbow, on a free ticket as they were recording for an American TV show.

My Dear Hedley,
I have come to like The Kinks even more as I grow older, but I’m not so sure I’d like them as they are now. I’m leery of groups re-forming and touring. I know it is the trend but age does take a toll.
Rod Stewart, now that would be interesting.

Ray tours as a solo artist and in promotion of his recent book and tends to be a bit on the obnoxious side. I do love the material and certainly listen beyond Lola, Waterloo and Come Dancing

This is a new song and a new group for me. I would never have found this. It fits well with the posted song. I suspect the title might be off-putting for Superman.

I watched this every early evening, around 5 o’clock I think. I can still say the intro from memory. It is one of my favorite shows from my childhood.
