And composed by a Ghanaian musician as “An Africans prayer”. This tune screams Kat…
“I remember well, it was 1962 and I was riding my Vespa to the sacred croc pool, when out of a straw hut came the most wonderful melody ….this isn’t Joni and Ralph is still in Accra…..it was Bert playing Guy Warren. I wrote a long and demanding airmail letter to my family and waiting patiently, next to the croc pool for a box of Kaempfert”

MDH,
That would be 1970 and my Honda and a mud hut with a straw roof, but I do like your stories of my life in Ghana.
I thought this a perfect choice as Guy was a Ghanaian, but my family let me down. They sent such silly choices as CSN&Y, Simon and Garfunkel and Join.

Birgit,
Blame Hedley. He brought this on himself, and I figured to add you to the mix.
The song was written by a Ghanaian so I thought it the perfect choice.

Gnu,
His whole demeanor gave me a chuckle. He seems to be having the best fun whistling. I love his clothes so 60’s.
I did some looking up, “Whistling Jack Smith was a play on the name of the baritone singer of the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s, Whispering Jack Smith. The public face of Whistling Jack Smith was Billy Moeller, who was the brother of Tommy Moeller, lead vocalist, guitarist, and pianist with Unit 4 + 2. “
