Funnily enough this one jumped off the HD in my car this week and pulled me back to Wonderful Glorious. The musical trip with Mark Oliver Everett demands some effort and is appropriately rewarded. My signed CD cover of Cautionary Tales sits on the desk in my study and reminds me of my wanderings through a restricted area to say hi to Mark at the Royal Oak. No disappointments.
You have not given a review of the Bob Mould which must be with you unless you cancelled your preorder. I have been playing “Atlas” by Real Estate , and would highly recommend a decent sampling by the music lovers on Team KTCC. They ain’t coming to Detroit, bugger.

My Dear Hedley,
It was you who recommended I buy the album, and I haven’t once been disappointed. I would never of heard of the Eels otherwise.
I haven’t listened to the Bob Mould. It is here on the table but in a pile of papers so I forgot about it until your reminder. I will listen tomorrow.
I haven’t ever heard of Real Estate. Tell me more.

Hedley and Kat, interested in early radio E / Eels?
Two KCRW recordings, pre-Eels E 1994 and Eels 1995, were added yesterday to

I’m just listening to the tracks while waiting for Brazil-NL.

Thank you Birgit
What are your plans for tomorrow.
Brazil are a joke, but heavily assisted by some scuffy refereeing

Hedley,
at least it was a funny game for Non-Brazilians.
Tomorrow rain is expected and the game starts at 9 pm so we’ll probably watch at home, but the weather report may change until then.

I am hoping that Kat rolls her Bert Kaempfert collection as a sign of music support tomorrow.

Kat has a Bert Kaempfert collection? Oh dear!
July 12, 2014 at 8:07 pm
You didn’t know that Kat has the biggest Bert Kaempfert collection in New England ?

Birgit and MDH,
I take great pride in my collection. Bert Kaempfert scholars line up at my door for a chance to see the collection, but I am fussy about who I’ll let inside the house. That infernal door bell drives me crazy.

Thanks, Birgit
I didn’t watch the game, but I did watch the sports news which said Brazil was booed by their own fans. Unbelievable.
