I guess that the whole American Soft Rock movement, if it was a movement simply passed me by. I did see the modestly entertaining America as part of the Bangladesh concert at the Oval and for some reason their albums started with the letter H (an excellent letter)
I couldn’t tell an England Dan from a Poco or a Toto or any other kinder gentler strumming set of fellows.

MDH,
I think the softness of the music would not have been to your taste.I probably couldn’t tell them apart with though I might recognize some of the songs. I missed a whole genre as well, particularly sounds from the 80’s and 90’s. You have introduced me to a few, and I am thankful.

I’ll never forget when they made this record and this song. I never bothered to listen to them again, and I still won’t. Yeah, I am stubborn…

Lori,
I haven’t ever heard of this song before this. It mustn’t have made the charts.

It was very controversial, and when I heard it I never would listen to another song of theirs. I boycotted all their records. I was so angry. http://ultimateclassicrock.com/seals-and-crofts-songs/
It’s odd how after all these years I remembered.

Lori,
I figure that each one of us is welcome to an opinion. Music has always been used politically and some we may agree with with while others we don’t. That’s just the way it is.
