Our blackbirds are back 🙂
Yesterday they started to build a nest next to last year’s nest. They look like the pair we had last year we named Cilla and Black, but who really knows. They don’t mind us sitting at our usual summer eating spot next to the nest so we can watch them.

I love the names of your blackbirds. How very generous of them to allow you to be close enough to watch them. You get to see the babies all the way to fledgling-very cool.
I thought today should be a folk song day.

What a pretty version of a favorite song. (This is one of the tunes that my partner loves to play when he breaks out his guitar. And I love to hear him do so.)

I first heard her sing this live, but I couldn’t find it right away as the album wasn’t released for a while. As soon as it was, I grabbed. I thought the same thing about this song.
