I really enjoyed this piece. It reminded me how much I enjoyed my grandfather (my mother’s father, I only saw my father’s father one time as my father was running him out of town). Anyway, my grandfather, along with my uncle, the crazy one, spent a lot of time entertaining the grand kids, with vaudeville shows, funny songs and just generally providing a good time.
Now my 3 year old grand daughter is visiting and I am doing my best to entertain her. (she allows that my singing isn’t very good and my dancing leaves a lot to be desired. But that’s ok, she usually joins right in.) Most often we have a grand time, when she isn’t stewing over one thing or another. Or her mother has her reigned in. I will miss them both when my son retrieves them and takes them back to Kuwait. But that won’t be until the early fall, and there is a lot of fun to be had until then.
Thanks for this song. I have been searching for others from about the same time, but hadn’t heard this one.

Carl,
I had one grandfather I loved and another I didn’t. My mother’s father was a great guy. My father’s father was not.
My mother was one of 8 so when we visited my grandparents’ house, usually on a Sunday, there were always lots of cousins. My grandfather handed out dimes so he could have peace and quiet.
You are most welcome!
