Ha ! My college in London was not much known for a social side. However, every now and again they had a lunchtime concert in the rather small auditorium.
While I was slugging down my lamb sandwich, I joined half a dozen folks to watch The Tourists and a gal with a gigantic beehive stand behind an upright organ and belt out their only hit …”I only want to be with you”
The Tourists packed it in, but Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart did not, and they went on to be awfully famous.
My Dear Hedley,
I had to go looking for info about The Tourists besides the Lennox-Stewart connection. They were credited with a second hit, “So Good to Be Back Home Again,” which I remember better than the other.
Sometimes I am amazed by the number of groups some musicians play and sing with in their careers. They start one, it disbands, they start another and on and on.

Kat, I remember very little about the show other than Annie Lennox looked like she should have been in the B52s

My Dear Hedley,
You remembered a great feature: the beehive!
