9 Comments on “The Times I’ve Had; Carolyn Hester”
Back then it took a long time until I finally found a record of Carolyn Hester. As a Baez/Farina/Dylan fan I had only read about her and was curious. I’m glad the only used LP I got was her self titled with Dylan on harmonica. It’s an American pressing, I don’t think her music was published over here in my record hunting days.
I’m leaving for a nearby evening flea market now, always hoping to find good inexpensive music.
Birgit,
I have two albums of hers, one in mono. I don’t even know where I found them, but I was so happy I had. She was a favorite of mine way back. I still like the purity of her music.
Gnu,
I was a high school administrator for several years, and this song was chosen so many times as the prom theme song. I don’t think many of the kids knew the film but the words to this song always seemed to resonate.

Gnu,
This is the Dylan I first loved and I bought every album of his. This is sort of an odd venue. It was so good to hear this again!

Gnu,
I watched this every week! He’d change his jacket for another one with patches on the elbows. I guess that was his comfy coat.
