Once upon a time, Buster was David Johansen of the New York Dolls. I saw them open for The Faces at the Empire Pool, Wembley.its fair to say that they were not well received.
I really like the song and the whole Buster thing. the NYDs were a very bad match for The Faces….on the same bill that night were The Pink Fairies…another total mismatch.

MDH,
I like this song. I like the beat of the music and his voice, and I would have given them a warm welcome.

MDH,
I went looking to hear The Faces as I suspected it was a bad match. When I heard them, I knew.

perhaps a more successful match up was Bina Mistry’s version in the Bend It Like Beckham film.
