Yes, yes. That famous Lutheran, J.S. Bach used it in his “St. Matthew Passion” and in several other compositions. The original hymn tune was a secular song by Hans Hassler, but the Bach harmonization is found in the modern hymnals of all the various American Lutheran churches.
