The opening didn’t have me thinking country until the singing started. It seems somehow different from most country but I can’t tell you why I think that.

John Anderson is is a little different as country singers go – for instance, horns & organ in a country are pretty much verboten and he also has an unusual voice. I don’t particularly like this song, but it got some fair xover play so you may have heard it before.

I haven’t heard this before, and I wouldn’t think I’d hear it on a country station. It sounds more like a late 50’s or early 60’s rock and roll.
