Elephant ! Wow Jack and Meg, where will it end ?
2014 and Jack White is making noises about two new releases including some potentially Debbie downer collaboration with Neil Young. Big fan of Blunderbuss so I will listen
Beck has resurfaced after the very short (33 minutes) Modern Guilt in 2008. “Blue Moon” is already readily available on the net and the full album “Morning Phase” will appear next month
Meanwhile Damon Albarn, he of Blur and Gorrillaz fame has announce he is rolling out a solo album “Everyday Robots” which is at least a partial collaboration with Brian Eno, could be really fabgear.
So Kat – how is Another Self Portrait working for you ?

My Dear Hedley,
It is the cold which has scrambled my senses. I find myself playing bands and groups I have never played, not ever.
How do you know all of these and the latest news? I am in awe!
Haven’t heard it, but I do have it; however, it will have to wait until Monday. My friends Bill and Peg, my Peace Corps friends with whom I shared a duplex in Bolga, are coming tomorrow for the weekend. Today is prep day. I am so excited to see them-it has been a year+.

MDH,
I browsed quickly through but need more time. I’m thinking it was worth the money but that’s just a quick opinion based on browsing.
I haven’t a clue as to what I’ll be posting this weekend! I’d love the shock and thrill!!

Kat
Supposedly ol’ Neil is rolling something out in March called “A Letter home” which he described as very low tech. It could be the Young -Jack White album of covers which could be just plain awful.

MDH,
Neil and a new album scare me!

Hedley, I’m looking forward to hear Neil’s cover album. Neil back to his folk roots. Listen to Changes (Phil Ochs) or Needle Of Death (Bert Jansch) live: http://bigozine2.com/roio/?p=1708 (-> updated files)

Birgit, I just cant take cover albums, I see them as lazy fillers often appearing when the artist is devoid of ideas. Neil can, at best, be depressing so I am expecting the worst but stand ready to be corrected – like Another Self Portrait
