    It’s a sacred duty for me to listen to Odetta’s Christmas album at least once each Christmas. I’m glad I’ve had the chance to see her live.
    I was a little bit confused when I heard the version you posted, because it was slightly different than the version I’m familiar with though the album title is the same. Until now I wasn’t aware that 2 recordings of her “Christmas Spirituals” exists, so thanks for this original 1960 recording.

      I too have seen her live, and I was thrilled. It was before Christmas and she sang all her wonderful songs.

      You are very welcome! I have both versions and also noticed a difference when I first bought the newer one, but I loved it as well.
