   Interesting – met side man of Darius Rucker in Nashville today at birthday party for a 3-year old. Get this, the guy’s a Russkie, married to American girl. Have an infant and baby, both boys.

     Spaceman,
     I never would have imagined a Russian playing country and winning a Grammy doing it. What a great sound he has. He was a jazz trained, and I’d like to shear that side of his music.

   A very unassuming fellow. Knew the parents of the 3-year old via both going to Orthodox church. Went to their wedding several years ago. Wow, talk about high liturgy, the whole service was sung in Greek. Two priests and small side choir exchanging passages all the way thru. Thuribles, etc. Came away with a bit more appreciation of mystical side.

     I once had to do research on a different religion, and I drew Greek Orthodox. I remember finding my way to South Boston to this magnificent church and an amazing service. I didn’t understand most of it, but I felt it.
