Epsom is best know for THE Derby and some whacky salts but it was also home to five Edwardian psychiatric hospitals including Long Grove where Pet’s parents and parents of friends of mine worked. A massive institutionalization of those in need of help. The hospitals employed many, and condemned the residents to a lifetime of confinement.
Pet Clark and MDH were both born in Epsom. I worked for the Epsom post office at Christmas during my college years, and I didn’t sleep in the subway
Love Pet, thank you Kat

My Dear Hedley,
Five seems like a huge number for one place. Massive is indeed the right adjective.
I didn’t sleep in the subway either but I too worked for the post office summers and college Christmas vacations.
You are most welcome. I know how much you love Pet.
