And so we wait patiently for the arrival of our beloved Prince who will be sharing an evening and sleep over and will be under our (not so strict) supervision tomorrow.
There is certainly an argument that the six year old keeps Mrs MDH and I young, if not for ever.
I recognize that there will be no Sparty in the house tonight but I am expecting one of his favorite doggie movies….Snow Buddies, Treasure Buddies, Space Buddies, you get the general picture.

The Prince’s Uncle Eric will be a top ten selection in to the National Football League in April, We shall see if it is on the Prince’s mind

      My Dear Hedley,
I bet the Prince is just as impatient to get there. He knows the best people to visit and the best places to stay!!

The Prince probably has had his packed packed for days!!

      Have a wonderful evening!!!!

He is on the way, I called the car and was told “he was sick and could not come” Mrs MDH had to tell me that it was her eating potato chips in the car !!!!!!

I am waiting patiently for his arrival – everything lights up around him.

He is here, we are eating chips and watching “Pirates, Band of Misfits”. Maggie is looking for a snack.
    We like this movie…a lot

      MDH,
I envy you your evening with the Prince! I remember when my nephew would fly out for a few weeks in the summer, and my mother andI split the cost so we got to split the time.

We had so much fun together. His son is now six, but I don’t see him much at all.

      Give Maggie her snack!!

“Forever Young” offers me the perfect chance to shamelessly hype one of my very favorite TV shows, “Parenthood.” The song serves as the theme song for this multi-generational drama-comedy. Alas, the show isn’t a big hit, but it’s been popular enough to last for 3 or so seasons and I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll be renewed for another. Anyway… the show is not just great, but GREAT. So well written. So well acted. With multiple storylines that make me laugh, think and cry. Oh how this show makes me cry! Sad tears. Happy tears. Full on lump-in-my-throat tears from caring so damn much about the crazy Braverman family. I’ve learned never to watch without a box of tissues nearby! I think many readers of Coffee will enjoy the show as well and the good news is that you can watch online. And while I’m at it, all this is based on a terrific 80’s feature film of the same name (Steve Martin stars). It would make a great movie night.

      im6,
I’ve never watched Parenthood, but both my sisters do. With this recommendation, I will go back and give earlier seasons a look. I have no idea how I missed it as it sounds like a program I would have liked from the beginning.

I remember the movie really well. I loved Steve Martin as the dad. He had all the best intentions for his son and did everything he could to be a good father.

      Thank you for the link!!
