My college was barely social. One lunchtime they announced that The Tourists would be playing a free concert in the small auditorium, I wandered in with very few others and maybe ten of us watched Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. Annie was sporting Dusty Springfield hair and sang “I only want to be with you”
They later, of course, became the Eurythmics and really famous and stuff.

My Dear Hedley,
You amaze me with all the experiences you’ve had. I am also impressed at your memory!
I never even heard of The Tourists.

I am one of ten people in the World that can claim that they saw The Tourists live at The London School of Economics !
