Sam Cooke is the best. Interesting upstyle version here

When I occasionally go to LA (lower Alabama), there’s a black church in Eight Mile, Pure Word Deliverance, I make a point to attend. Friends with their pastor, Mother, as she’s referred to. Interesting & enlightening for a white boy raised in traditional church.

Spaceman,
I love Black Gospel, and this one is great. I could sit in church forever and listen.
Thanks!!

Here’s something interesting I stumbled across this week, a couple of the fellas on a side project who normally play for Emery, which is a hard rock Christian band.
What do you think?

Spaceman,
The opening was far different music than I expected in a good way, but I was taken a bit aback by the starting lyrics then I understood when I heard the rest of the song.
I think I’d need to hear a bit more.

This kind (and a lot) of music often follows a formula, which this certainly did not. It was really different. A profoundly sad song.

Spaceman,
It was definitely unexpected as I did expect to hear that formula.
