Ah, you were either a member of the RAC or the AA and you had a metal badge that was attached to the front of your car grille.
On the Leatherhead bipass in the 1960s was a bright yellow AA box where a fully uniformed AA man stood and saluted anyone with an AA badge.
Love this gal on her motorcycle and I hope that the map and her friendly RAC guy gets her to her destination.

My Dear hedley,
I knew this was in England.
I thought it was the perfect picture for my musings today. You mean that the car club had these guys just waiting to give help? That is so cool.

Looks like there is a sign saying Enfield which means that she was wandering around North London. Maybe she was heading for White Hart Lane

My Dear Hedley,
That sign on her bike is Royal Enfield, the kind of motorcycle she is riding. I couldn’t figure out what year the bike is. I looked up the WP and it is west of England, perhaps Bristol.

Ijnteresting. We grew up near the Davy family who owned and operated Gus Kuhn Commandos motor cycles that were converted from Nortons specifically for racing. Lots of mini bikes although none of us were ever going to ride the big bikes.
