and then Brian got mad because “Heroes and Villains” wasn’t as well received and then Mike Love said you’ve gotta go but you can come back in forty years time and appear in concert on the fabulous QVC sound stage.

Thanks for the shout-out to Brian (wonder how you remembered?). I know *some* people aren’t as fond of Brian and his band as I am (hmmmm… who could I be referring to?), but I still think he’s a genius — even if he is now a little rickety and letting the evil puppet master drive the tour bus.

      im6,
You are most welcome! “Some” people loved to trash talk Brian and the boys!

I think he let the evil puppet master start driving a long time ago.

“The Evil Puppet Master driving the tour Bus”…..THAT screams Team America ….(F*** Yeah)

Kat remembers all significant birthdays and you can be sure that later in the week we will hear Waterloo Sunset or Lola or Dedicated Follower of Fashion or….I believe that Carly Simon also has a celebration coming up. A whole career based on one uninteresting song.

We saw the Beach Boys show on Friday night and found it quite enjoyable. Al Jardine’s voice has probably held up the best of the bunch, but even if they were occasionally wobbly on the harmonies (they even missed on rare occasion when they were younger), it was still a blast, and I’m glad we had the chance to see them together.

im6 would have been right there with you. I was a fan back in the day and loved those songs!
