Welcome to Your Year in Music
It seems many of us were born the same year so the list of years is shorter than I’d hoped. If you haven’t chimed in yet, please do so.
I made a chronological list and started with the earliest years. The songs here are those which were on the charts the longest. I chose the top two of each year.
The first two are from 1929; the second two are from 1947.
Enjoy! I’ve had fun doing this!

I’ve been checking in every now and then for five or six years. You’ve broadened my musical horizons a bit, and I, like Deb, am waiting for a book. I do enjoy your reminiscing about growing up on the cape, the Peace Corps, and your mental perambulations about day-to-day events. Oh yes – my year of birth is 1955, Cheers!

Richard,
I have a fondness for lurkers, especially one around for so long. I’m giving you an official welcome to Coffee!
Thank you for the kind words. I enjoy writing everyday and nothing is better than an appreciative audience.

I am more of a lurker than a commenter. I do enjoy reading here, both your essays and the comments. I am a music teacher, and still, you have taught me a thing or two. I am also 1955.

Welcome, Barabra
Lurkers and commenters are equally welcome, but it’s still nice to know you’re out there. One of my two best friends is a music teacher: was a band director and nor teaches to supplement his retirement. My ignorance of the nuances of music befuddles him.

I found Bonnie Guitar, and I like her voice. I also found the song Dark Moon.
