John Boswell quote

I do like the picture and it kicked in memories of my beloved Grandpa. He retired to his chair to read, do crossword puzzles, watch TV and come up with strange ideas. One of my favorites was that he decided that the pigeons of Bognor Regis were a nuisance and he would take on the assignment. So wisely he bought an air pistol and pellets and positioned himself in the back upstairs window.
Although he had been a machine gunner during WW1, those skills did not translate in to pigeon snipper, and the herd remained untouched and well fed.
My Grandfather always wore a jacket or a sports coat. He was the perfect Grandpa and we loved him very much

My Dear Hedley,
I was drawn to this man because he seemed so completely relaxed and comfortable in front of the fire. He was in a perfect place.
