I love Nanci, although I do have to admit that I have fallen away from buying her new albums. She is at The Ark in AA in August at $65 a ticket and is sold out.

      My Dear Hedley,
I have seen her in concert twice but both times were a while back. I haven’t bought albums in a while, anyone’s.

      Pete,
This kept stopping to buffer, but I persisted-don’t know this song and like it. Then again, I am a Nanci fan and there isn’t much I don’t like.

You name it kid, & you & all your fabulous readers can have it.
Or as Jimmy Durante once said, “I’ve got a million of ’em babe”

      Dear Pete,
I like it better when you surprise me as I love that I mention a song and you have it or find it or you find one I’ll like as much.

      Let’s keep the surprise!.

Thanks, Kat! I thought I knew/had all the good Nanci Griffith tunes, but this one escaped me. Vintage late-80’s Nanci. Like your friend Headly, I’ve lost interest in her latest offerings, but she’s still an all-time favorite of mine and my daughter. She’s a gift to music!

You’re welcome, Jay. Like you, I am partial to her earlier albums. I have several. It took awhile before I gave her a chance then i had to play catch up. In my head, she was country, and I am not a twangy country fan. When her Other Voices, Other Rooms won the Folk Grammy, I got interested and bought it. That was the first of many. I’ve even seen her in concert. This is a great song!
