Does anyone write songs like this anymore? Seems like there were a lot of double entendre songs in the 30s and 40s. Nowadays, they skip the entendres and just fill in the blanks. Not nearly as clever… or interesting.

Nope, not any more. Now, many of the lyrics are so offensive I cringe. I love this song and the double entendre and smiled the whole time I was listening. I decided the lyricist was quite clever and knew exactly how to stymie a censor. Fun song!
