Minicapt,
I found the opening wonderfully dramatic with the pipes and drum only, especially the pipes in the aisle but then, then came all the rest of the instruments. Lovely!

Glad you posted that photo.
It reminds me of my Memorial Days as a Scout.
When I was a Cub Scout we always went to the cemetery early in the morning to spruce the place up.
Decoration Day
We woke up well before the dawn
Each last Monday in May
And went to all the soldiers graves
On Decoration Day
Then in full dress of blue and gold
With sash and badge and pin
We’d clean and trim, then place a flag
For all our fallen kin
Day greater then, than four July
We tallied freedoms bill
And cooked upon an open fire
Till all were fully filled
But more the point, each morrows morn
Our generations train
That those who lay beneath these flags
Do not rest there in vain

Beto,
I was first a brownie then a girl scout when I marched in the memorial Day parade. We were just ahead of the little league teams in their wool uniforms. We always ended up at the cemetery for ceremonies.
Thank you for the poem. I have saved it for another year.
