This sounds like an older version of Buffy. She was on a PBS show of Pete Seeger’s many years ago when he was blacklisted. Then she was blacklisted for the Universal Soldier in the USA and often did some great work on Sesame Street. When I say blacklisted, radio stations wouldn’t play her songs and her albums couldn’t sell here. I hope that makes sense. And yes I saw her and Seeger.
It’s a lovely song. I think Wikipedia explains what I mean…

This is from her first album called Many a Mile which was released in 1965. I know about the blacklisting-censorship of anti-was music was huge.
