I love when I hear a song from a band I’ve never heard of before and think, “Why do I know that voice?” Why indeed, Mr. Stewart?

      sprite,
I thought the same thing and listened for just a bit before I realized it was Mr. Stewart who joined the band in 1969 ( I looked them up).

The Faces are a fave of mine. Nice surprise.

    Kat
A really terrific pick.I first saw The Faces at the Concert of Bangledesh at the Oval in 1971, they were on right before The Who. Rod came wandering out in a leopard skin leotard and damn nearly blew The Who off stage.
So I saw The Faces as many times as I could and it’s hard to think of someone that fell so far from grace as Rod…he was Jack the Lad and the Faces were brilliant. Britt shows up, Rod starts some disco crap about do you think I’m sexy and it was all over.

      My Dear Hedley,
This sounded so much like a Hedley song I thought of you when I posted it. I knew you would be a Faces fan. I have only two of their albums and haven’t ever seen them. I loved Rod’s voice.

Thought I was looking good, so I cycled ‘cross the neighbourhood.

They were not only bluesy with a heavy dose of rock but they were funny. There is an excellent four disc set called Five Guys Walk in to a Bar, and the single CD to be owned is Nods as Good as a Wink

Yes definitely Hedley music and I still play the live shows recorded with John Peel

Thank you for thinking of me

    My Dear Hedley,
How did your leg feel when you were done?

I actually have the album you mentioned and a Best of one as well. I knew as soon as I listened, before I downloaded any albums, that they would be favorites of yours.

My dear Hedley, I always think of my friends!

Kat, my leg felt good although I am not sure if it was a good idea to leave my bicycle under the stairs 🙂
more likely I was driving my beloved 1961 Triumph Herald which always got me to the dance but also made sure that I went home alone
I am standing, walking, driving and at PT three times a week to improve my skills for all those things

        My Dear Hedley,
I’m glad your doing so well. I know how important PT is. When I fractured my shoulder PT killed me, but I got almost 100% range of movement back.
