Long time since I heard Rolf Harris! he was extremely popular in Sweden when I was young and he recorded two songs in swedish too. Sven Gren (med sitt extra ben wich is translated With his extra leg) That was a swedish text on the song Jake the peg.
And Tie me kangaroo down, sport but with lyrics in swedish, it was then called Släpp min känguru ut (that could be translated to Let my kangaroo out 🙂 )

Minicapt,
I loved Jake the Peg. That was so clever, and he did it so well and so did the other guy in the coat.
I knew Tie the Kangaroo Down as they played it often on the radios here too.
I loved the third song too-so much fun!

Christer,
I knew Tie Me Kangaroo Down as it was a hit here in the states. I love the translation from the Swedish.
I never heard of Jake the peg.

Somewhere in my InterWebs travels I stumbled across a copy of a live show he did in Sidney. He really was an entertaining performer! He did a country-western cover of “Tie me Kangaroo Down” set in Appalachia w/a hillbilly & NA animals — kArAzY!
