    This is one of my all time favorites. Somehow it always chokes me up when that old bear whispers, “Boy, welcome home.”

      Erin,
      This version came from The Best of Loggins and Messina. I looked up the lyrics and none of the 5 I found had that line. It must have been added later.

    The version Erin refers to is called “Return to Pooh Corner” and includes a final verse added by Kenny Loggins after the birth of his son, which he says changed his perspective. It can be found on his excellent album of the same name, which is chock full of lullabies, many of them covers.
