I played this song by either a trio, Kingston perhaps, or a solo male voice with guitar which was a favorite of mine and always after the 12am news. I just can’t remember the artist. Eva Cassidy does justice to a truly fine song here. Thanks.

You’re welcome, Z&Me
When I first heard this, I thought it was amazing and absolutely beautiful.

sblake,
It is so very lovely, and she sings it beautifully.

Beautiful. Simon and Garfunkel would be proud.
My wife plays Eva Cassidy quite often, and Eva’s cover of Sting’s “Fields of Gold” is the best I’ve ever heard. Better than Sting. Better than my daughter’s high school orchestra!

Ted,
I agree they would most certainly be proud. It is a different song than I’d expect a high school orchestra to play-I like their choice.
I love her Fields of Gold and played it on the old Coffee. Maybe I’ll have to hunt it down for here to.

Hi Nan,
You’re welcome! I must admit I really love this song so I may have been a tad self-serving.
