I think I like this version better.

The Dolly version is one of my favorites. It always chokes me up. I’ll have to check out this version.

      Minicapt,
That was quite clever! No question red needed to share and so did blue and on and on to yellow.

That’s a beautiful box of crayons!

So a few years I am backstage at Meadowbrook, fawing over Ms Harris and the anchor comes steaming over and uses the opening line “I just wanted to meet the woman my husband would leave me for”….”no fear of that” said Ms Harris
“Didn’t pick me out from Row G ?” I asked, but the moment was gone and my hopes of being Emmylou’s guitar boy were dashed forever.

      My Dear Hedley,
Perhaps she was just sparing your wife’s feelings or she would have been all over guitar boy from Row G.

For personal reasons, I still prefer the Parton original, but I always will give a listen to Parton covers…to wit, here’s the ISB covering :My Blue Tears”!

      J,
I have not been a Dolly fan, but I read a review of her album Those Were the Days and bought it on a whim. I liked it. That was surprising and opened my eyes a bit about Dolly.

It was her covering other songs so a bit different than what I posted and from ISB’s song. I guess I’ll have to backtrack and give Dolly more of a hearing.
