Bruce,
She is so intent on her artistry she didn’t hear anyone coming.

My mother (happy to finally have a girl) bought me beautiful white furniture that would grow with the baby. At age 4, I decided white furniture was quite dull. I used my Crayolas to draw beautiful (I thought) pictures all over it. Brother Bill caught me and turned me in! Mom took it better than I thought she would. Apparently they planned ahead and the finish was washable. A little Windex and it was gone. I am not sure what happened to that furniture.

Erin,
The last thing I’d want in the hands of a 4 year old is a crayon. Washable furniture was very wise, and Bill was a rat.
