This song was written by Sylvia Tyson in 1964. It was originally performed by her and Ian for their 1964 album, Northern Journey. It was We Five I remember singing this, and their version went directly to the Billboard Top Five in 1965.

    In Europe, this song became a hit in 1966 with Crispiam St Peters. It was a very good cover, maybe even better than Ian & Sylvia’s.

      I love The St. Peter’s version and played it on Coffee though I don’t remember if it was this one or the old blogger one. Maybe I need to do a cover day on a weekend and play it again.
