Many a Mile: Buffy Sainte-Marie

I first heard this Patrick Sky song on his self-titled debut album released in 1965. I know I played it a time or two on the blog once known as Coffee.

This cover is from Many a Mile, Buffy's second album, the one with Until It's Time for You to Go. Unless something has recently changed, it was never reissued here on CD.

Thanks, wolf, it was good to read about Buffy Sainte-Marie again. I got a chuckle or to from some of her comments, and I loved, “Music was out of the hands of the genre police.” That’s the Buffy I know.

    Vanguard-CD-release “VMD-79171” (2007 ?)
    (Paper-sleeve-CD with original-LP-fotos and notes)

I bought it 2007 at http://www.jpc.de ,but it looks
like an US-import, not an only-european-pressing.
They still sell the “It’s my way”-CD (2007),
but not “Many a mile” any more.
    Maybe out of print?

As a kid (more than 30 years ago) I played and sang
all tunes from her songbook and finally this year
I could see her live in concert.
    It was incredible!
    Old songs and new songs
with a small band in an old church
with a fantastic lightshow. Wow !!!
    (One of my personal top-5-concerts.
BTW, Iggy Pop is also in this list…)

      Birgit,
I went hunting, after reading your comment, and found out the CD you have is an Italian reissue of that album. Many a Mile has gone out of print in this country. I checked Amazon and only one used copy was offered for sale. The price is $62.39 + shipping. Hang on to your copy!
