Excellent – I hadn’t heard this for ages. Think I’ll copy the idea and post it too …

brian,
I had heard the Seeger more recently but not the Paxton so I figured it was time. That was one great debut album.

Sandy and I were listening to a “Best of Tom Paxton” cd on the way to Chicago yesterday and I commented that I’d like to do a compilation, Greatest Folk Tunes of the 60’s & 70’s. After about 20 minutes both Sandy & I agreed that we already had the greatest folk tunes of the 60’s and 70’s in the cd player. Mygod! That man wrote a hell of a lot of great songs.

John, he certainly did. Even that first album of his was a gem of great songs. I am still amazed when I post a song and see Tom Paxton wrote it.

I like this song very much. Graeme Allwright did it in French.

Mario,
I know a few of Graeme Allwright’s songs, but I didn’t know he sang this one. Thanks!
