Hickory Wind: Gram Parsons
From Hi-Five: Gram Parsons [Vol. 2] put out by Rhino. Emmylou is listed as singing in every song but this one, but I do think it is Emmylou without the fanfare.

I love that line about “its a hard way to find out that trouble is real.” This could be true if one is far away as well as if one is just not used to trouble at all. This song was a perfect listen for me just now.

Nan,
I’m with Pete in hoping the trouble disappears soon.
I find music soothing at times while other times it brings all these sad feeling welling to the top.

No worries – I actually was tapping back to a past moment – and not a present one. So it was, as you said, a moment of sad feelings welling to the top – as they will do now and again. Somehow, I think giving words to the feelings makes one realize we aren’t alone and we all have these feelings.

I’m glad, Nan
There is comfort in shared feelings.
